Saltire has unequalled experience in the handling of pollution claims.

The Braer and Sea Empress groundings are the most significant pollution incidents to occur in the U.K. in recent years.

Saltire personnel were closely involved in both, representing the interests of the shipowner’s third party insurers and the International Oil Pollution Compensation Fund.

Project: The establishment and operation of local Claims Handling offices. Saltire mobilised to the spill site at short notice, established the C.H.O. and over a two year period co-ordinated all activity in relation to the assessment and handling of pollution claims by specialised teams, whilst representing the Clients in all local dealings with the media, special interest groups and local government.
